Brightwave Welcomes Nick von Pentz as New Software Engineer

Brightwave is growing, and with that comes the need for fresh perspectives and new talent. Today, we’re excited to introduce our newest team member, Software Engineer Nick von Pentz.

Nick’s extensive technical background and leadership experience make him a perfect fit for our fast-paced team. Before joining us, he spent seven years at Brave, where he advanced from Software Engineer to Senior Staff Engineer, delivering impactful features across the full stack. His most recent work included leading backend development for Leo, Brave's AI agent. His expertise also extends to Web3 initiatives, where he developed core features for Brave’s built-in crypto wallet and spearheaded server-side API development.

When asked what attracted him to Brightwave, Nick highlighted both the business opportunity and the team’s vision: “What drew me to Brightwave was the combination of cutting-edge technology and clear market opportunity. I'm very excited about generative AI and its potential to transform how we work, and I believe we're at a critical moment where verticalized AI solutions can create a profound impact. Brightwave's approach aligned deeply with my perspective on where the industry is headed. But beyond the business opportunity, what truly convinced me to join was my interactions with the team. The team and culture left a strong impression on me. I am excited to be part of building something transformative and work with a dedicated team with a shared vision.”

Nick’s role at Brightwave will focus on building out backend systems that power the platform’s latest functionalities, enabling us to continue delivering the industry-leading research and diligence capabilities that our clients rely on.
